Cavens sits in 20 acres of peaceful landscaped gardens and grounds in the heart of Dumfries & Galloway. Cavens is an historic property built in 1752 by Sir Richard Oswald, a personal friend of Benjamin Franklin, and privately owned by the Oswald family until the 1960s. The Oswalds were also known to Robert Burns, so the housemakes a fitting place to stay as you venture out into the Dumfries & Galloway countryside to learn more of Scotland's National Bard in the museums, houses and pubs which tell of his life.
